Jordan Speith is not necessarily one of the top golfers to ever grace the game that we all love in fact he entered the last day of the U.S. Open being half the age of the prominent players who were still up for the championship. Despite all this, Jordan was not that concerned, in fact he was optimistic that by the end of the day he will be the one who walked away with the championship.
Jordan’s high optimistic were actually not that farfetched, in fact he was among the few players who managed to capture a championship on the last day. 70 days ago, Jordan surprised many by winning a major title on the events final day and he was hoping that the same will be replicated at the U.S. Open.
“If I can manage to convince myself that I will be free rolling come the championship’s last day then I know I will be good,” Jordan Said. “At the moment I am the only person who has one of these and all of the other guys are chasing their first. Having gone through the whole thing, I know how hard it can be when you are chasing your first.”
Having gone through the whole process of being in a position of winning a major championship in the final day, Jordan do believe that he has the best advantage “mentally” and he hopes that will be evident when he stepped up to compete in the events last day.
“Among all the competitors I happen to have the mentality for winning the championship on the last day and I think that for the event’s last day I will be strong so as to win the whole thing.”
