Close House Golf Club to Host Popular ISPS Handa PGA Seniors Championship

Golf fans in and around UK may look forward to witnessing some of the renowned lights from the famous European Senior Tour in live action on their home soil this year, after It’s confirmed that Close House Golf Club located in Newcastle would play host to the famous ISPS Handa PGA Seniors Championship.

The prominent club, which is likely to hold the tournament from 11th of June to 14th of June, has officially signed a 3-year contract to host the event, which is certainly the oldest on the famous Senior Tour’s schedule.

The Championship that boasts massive £260,000 Prize money would be played over the Lee Westwood Colt Course (6,813-yard par-71), which was architect as a tribute to prominent English golf course architect called Harry Colt.
Some of the leading names have won this 72-holes tournament, including Christy O’Connor and 5-time Open winner Peter Thomson, while Spain’s famous Santiago Luna would be defending essential championship following his success at Stoke by famous Nayland in 2014.

“We’re really excited that Close House would play host to 2015’s ISPS Handa PGA Seniors Championship,” says Graham Wylie, the owner. He further says, “To host a top-ranking golf tournament for the very first time guarantees a thrilling period in our growth and is witness to everyone associated with Close House.”
“We are ready to stage top-ranking show, as well as inviting all the lading players to participate in this exclusive tournament to enhance the excitement,” says the owner.
