It is a good news for all golf fans. It is the time for the major championship on the LPGA Tour. The world best golfers will compete in the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, this week. All of them will be under a lot of pressure, because this is one of the most demanding championships on the LPGA. All fans will be focused on the Westchester Country Club a new home of the event. It is a 6.670 yard, par-73 test.
There is a lot of attention on Inbee Park. She will try to win the same major for the third time. The last golfer who managed this was Annika Sorenstam, Hall of Famer. Park will also try to defend her title (from 2014 and 2013). This golfer tied for 11th in the Manulife LPGA Classic, this Sunday in Canada. According to many golf professionals and fans, she is one of the best female golfers in the world.
The second long-lasting championship on the LPGA Tour is the famous KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. Past champions are: Laura Davies (1994), Juli Inkster (2000 and 1999), Cristie Kerr (2010), Se Ri Pak (2006, 2002 and 1998) and the recent was Shanshan Feng (2012) and Yani Tseng (2011 and 2008).
Four out of ten previous champions won tournaments in this season. The latest champion is Pettersen, who won on Sunday. Brittany Lang, will show us 4 consecutive rounds on this event. You should know that this is $3.5 million event. All of the winners who won tournaments in this season will be competing for the check. Brittany Lincicome wants to win her third major title in her career.
